"The generous offer of donor milk came as such a relief to me and, maybe because I no longer felt so stressed, I found that my milk supply increased substantially – in fact, I suddenly found that I had more milk than Luca needed! So I decided to donate the extra milk to the breast milk bank."
I hope that this project keeps going for years to come- it is truly a fantastic initiative. What a great way to make a huge difference in the lives of those special little people…"
"It cost me nothing and took just a bit of my time. More importantly, I was saving a life, a little baby's life."
"It was a very rewarding experience knowing that I could make such a difference."
During the first few days the baby passes sticky, black stools (meconium) which gradually change to loose (sometime very loose) mustard - coloured stools. They may also vary in colour from bright orange to green. After the first few weeks, it is perfectly normal for some babies to pass six or more stools per day and for others to pass only one stool every seven days. Exclusively breastfed babies do not become constipated.
